GrowNYC has worked with regional growers since 2004 to kick start a nascent local grains economy by building demand for regional grains; supporting research into seed varieties, growing methods, processing methods, and culinary applications; facilitating processing infrastructure and distribution; and encouraging bakers to showcase regional grains in their baked goods. GrowNYC Wholesale now offers a full range of these newly developed grains, flours, and beans in both classic and heirloom varieties.
